Mutilator 1/8 Off-Road Truggy Front PBS Modification

Mutilator PBS Conversion Kit Sale $67.60

Kit includes: Upper Hinge Pins 4mm, MBX Pro Upper arms, MBX Steering Knuckle, MBX Pillow Balls, MBX Pillow Ball Retainer Nuts, MBX Pillow Ball Washers, Ultra MBX Arms, 3x18mm Flat Head Screws (for the steering knuckle tie rod), 3mm Locknuts, 3mm E’Clips

Mutilator PBS Conversion Directions:

Step 1) Remove hex drive

Step 2) Remove shocks, sway bar, and steering tie rod

Step 3) Remove the upper and lower arm

Step 4) Assemble the steering knuckle (see picture below).

Step 5) Remove the universals and bearing from the stock knuckles and install them into the PBS Steering knuckle

Step 6) Cut the new lower arm (36881) to the shorter length, and install the “cut” arms

Step 7) Install the shock in the outermost hole on the arms, sway bar in the outermost hole, and the steering tie rod (needs screw #94022, and don’t forget to install the silver cone washer in between the knuckle and the tie rod end, a locknut on the underside of the steering knuckle.

Step 8) Attach the steering knuckles to the lower arm, leave about 2-3 threads showing, attach the upper arm to the steering knuckle. Leave 2-3 threads showing

Step 9) Remove and drill out to 4mm the shock tower, and front upper hinge pin mount, then re-install, use the outer, upper hinge pin hole

Step 10) Place the upper arm in position, making sure the universal is in the out drive cup before inserting the hinge pin.

Step 11) Install the hex hubs

Step 12) With the tires/wheels on, check the camber and toe in. Readjust them as needed.
